Behind the scenes

We spent a day in Eastbourne with photographer, Alex Thomas working on a new series of promotional shots for our 2023 tour and our new album release. The lovely people at the Towner gallery could not have been more helpful. Alex had previously checked out the building and decided on a spot with great light and the sunlight on the day was amazing – the shadows against the stark white walls in the corridor, a very industrial look, added drama to the photos. We’ll share some of the results soon.
After the Towner we headed down to the Italian Gardens at the Holywell end of the seafront. The sun had disappeared and the diffused light worked nicely for shots in the 1920s pavilion. A few more shots in front of a boarded up shop near Gore Park Avenue then we stopped for lunch.
Our friend Erina had kindly agreed to us doing some shots in Skylark in Grove Road. The unusual window architecture lent itself to some interesting candid ‘coffee’ shots. And we got to drink some great coffee in the process!
It was a long day and we got pretty cold, but we’ve seen the results and it was worth it! We can definitely recommend working with Alex, a photographer who is passionate about the creative arts and has an eye for an interesting image.
