Kate and Paul at The Old Oak are really big supporters of Milton Hide. When we we put out our Bungaroosh fundraiser campaign email, Kate got in touch to say ‘come here and do a fundraiser gig!”. We quickly put the word out and had a good turnout of friends, family and locals (14 people we know!) and had another great pub gig. Our intention had been to play in the garden – the pub was quiet and the garden was busy when we arrived, but we knew that by evening it was going to be too cold and everyone would come indoors so we set up by the fireplace as usual. People chatted, ate and drank but joined in and we had great feedback. Our friend Jade joined us for most of the set, tapping her cajon and using her ankle bells. We got a decent amount in the pot plus one album pre-order and had a lovely evening at our local.
