Part 2 of 5 gigs for E.L.F – Every Last Friday in Battle.

We finished the previous gig on time, got packed up quick, and we’re into the next venue with a couple of minutes to spare. The duo in front of us were just getting their stuff out of the door so we could set straight up. This venue was even busier than the Taproom, being the King’s Head, but there was more of a performance area – a clear space in front of the big brick built fireplace. There were people standing all around the large bar plus tables of people who were evidently staying there to watch and listen to the music for the evening. Our little PA was sufficient make us heard over the pub hubbub – we shared a single mic on one mic stand so had to both lean in but had plenty of space.

We got really good responses to the songs, lots of clapping and cheering. Our nephew, Jim and his partner Aimee were there and Jim requested a song for Aimee. The pair of them came over and were singing along which encouraged others to join in too. We didn’t have time for a drink here and packed up quickly again so no time for chatting and definitely no time for any merch sales.

Onto venue 3…
